June 29, 2009 - Lizard Tears

I shed some tears today over the death of my lizard, Tarkin.
However, I shed more tears (of joy) when I realized he was not dying, but shedding his skin. He is incredibly healthy.

I've never cried over a pet before, as I've never had a pet to cry over.

Katy and I have both pledged to be Vegetarian for 30 days.
This will be interesting, as I truly love me some bacon.

That's right.
I drove to Vegas and saw Beatles Love.
Cirque is phenomenal.

I had my very first mono test today.
Good news: I don't have it.
Bad news: We're still not sure what's making me so sleepy.
Other than the anemia, probably.

Two words describe this show: CRACKED OUT.
I really enjoyed it, though.

Thanks, Joe, for introducing me to "Fooly Cooly" and letting me experience a few hours of a non-crack induced acid-like trip.

June 23, 2009 - Karaoke Bar

First time in a Karaoke Bar.
NOT!

First time I ever attempted to go to a karaoke bar, but then found that karaoke was canceled due to a pool tournament.

First time I ever DIDN'T go to a karaoke bar and stayed at home watching The O.C. and eating tacos instead.

Yum, tacos.

It WAS, however, the first time I've ever eaten homemade tacos on Taco Tuesday.

First time I've ever witnessed a game of Beer Pong being played.
I'm still not sure I fully understand the rules.
That may or may not be because everyone explaining them to me was totally wasted.

A three hour show. A three hour show.

I may or may not have watched a three hour Off the Cuff show before, but this was their last show at The Grind.

So, it was my first time watching their last show.

I've gotten haircuts before.
Never by Hollie.
She's great.

I'm getting hair inspired by Angelina Jolie in the Changeling.
In two weeks, I will be perming it.
Haven't done THAT since the 90s...

June 17, 2009 - Doris

I helped a delighful old lady clean her house today.
Her name is Doris.
She's 82.
And still a bachelorette.
Never been married.
And she quite possibly has the cutest grandma house I've ever encountered.
Ah, Doris. I look forward to next Wednesday.

Abolsultely terrifying movie, but I enjoyed it. As much as one can enjoy something terrifying.
A son goes missing, and a mother's vendetta against a corrupt police force.
Who knew Angelina Jolie could act?
Plus, it's set in the 1920s, the costumes and hair are beautiful.

A delightful little British film.
I want to be more like Poppy.
It IS Rated R for language, but if a good few F-words don't bother you, I highly suggest it.

The great MGM musical romance.
Judy Garland, Gene Kelley... can't go wrong, right?
You'd be surprised.
Let's just say there's an intriguing dream sequence involving some ridiculously short shorts, and Gene Kelley's amazingly hairless legs...

June 13, 2009 - Boxing

Utah Summer games had BOXING MATCHES!
Now, to be fair, my friends in high school used to box each other for fun, and I would watch that, but I've never witnessed ACTUAL boxers before.
This was some legit stuff, with people bleeding, and I think one guy even lost a tooth! It was insane. Also, SUU's head football coach boxed, and holy MACKEREL that guy is a beast. He pummelled the crap out of some poor chubby guy, it was insane.

June 12, 2009 - Tires

Let me tell you a little story:
One bright and sunny June day, Joe Spear and I were driving to St. George to donate plasma. On the way, my tire BLEW UP. Luckily we did not die, and luckily Joe was there to change my tire. Not that I can't, I just didn't want to. =]
$130.00 later, I have two new tires on my car. The end.

I've never lost a pair of keys before.
Misplaced, yes.
Locked in my car, yes.
But LOST?
As in never to return?

Now, I realize I've done homework before.
And I've submitted homework online for online classes before.
AND I've done summer classes before.
But a magical combination of all three?
THAT, I've yet to accomplish.
Until today.

Okay, okay, so I had a hard time finding something new I did today.
I blame this book:


It's keeping me trapped on my couch under my red down comforter, with a glass of chocolate milk. Thus preventing me from accomplishing anything new.
