Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.
Not what I expected.
I love it.

May 27, 2009 - Fugitive

Played for the first time EVER.

Kind of pointless.

May 26, 2009 - Coconutty

Hey, it's me with a coconut!
Being primitive and trying to break it with my own two hands.
Draining the milk into a cup.
Straining the milk through one of my new no-show socks.
Don't worry, it hadn't been on my foot yet.
YAY! Coconutting is fun. Never done THAT before.

May 25, 2009 - Lifestyle Change

May 24, 2009 - Medusa

Medusa is a trampoline game that I invented as a child.
Medusa consists of a deadly beach ball that, if it touches you will turn you into either stone, or a snakelike monster, your choice.
Medusa is fun to play with nieces and nephews.
First time we've ever done that.

May 21, 2009 - Watched Lorin at Off the Cuff

He played with OTC today for the first time.
And did phenomenally.
Well, except for that Apollo 13 Joke.
That was a miserable failure.

May 20, 2009 - Killed 50 Crickets at One Time

Seriously.
Bought a bag of them to feed to Tarkin.
Left it in my car.
They all roasted.

May 19, 2009 - Eastern Utah

Orangeville.
Jasha's wedding.
Three hours east of Cedar City.
Furthest East in Utah I've ever been.
Well, not really, there was that time we drove to Illinois.
Furthest East Destination in Utah.

May 17, 2009 - Basketball

Well, my new thing for today was SUPPOSED to be cheering for the Lakers, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. What can I say, I hate those guys.

So, instead, I'm going to count watching two playoff games in one day. Never done THAT before.

Too bad both of my teams lost.

Jabbed myself in the back of the throat with the pointy stick.

May 15, 2009 - Getaway Car for a Jewel Thief

Katy, my roommate, was working for her brother at Clark and Linford Jewelers.
A perk to working for a jewelry store is that they expect you to wear their jewelry, for marketing purposes.

Katy and I went to lunch at around 2:00, and I drove us to Costa Vida. As we were in line waiting to order, I look at Katy and notice that she's still wearing the necklace and earrings from the jewelers.

Yes, she stole them, and yes I was the getaway car.

May 13, 2009 - Wikipedia

Subscribed to Wikipedia’s “Featured Article” list.

Every day, Wikipedia posts an article selected from its vast repository of entries to it’s Daily-article-l subscribers. If you were a subscriber today, you would have recently discovered that Daylight Saving Time was first proposed by William Willett in 1907 and adopted during World War I as a way to conserve coal. You might have also been interested to find out that Kazakhstan discontinued Daylight Saving Time in 2005 because of alleged health risks associated with changed sleep patterns.

Fascinating.

May 12, 2009 - 24 hours with The Hanch

Came to see my new place.
What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
"Geez, I know that Gilbert."
Jonah.
"Why, that's enough to get a smile from Mr. Grumpy-Pants!"
The Rundown.
Bedtime, that couch hates me.
10:00am Bible Reading.
Fell asleep from all the "begats."
Smiths and apple cinnamon cheerios.
Taken.
Tortellini and Religion.
Back to work again.

May 11, 2009 - Icecream for Breakfast

Today, I wake up at around 10:00am.
I stumble out my bedroom door into the hallway, hair a mess a clothes askew.
"Hey tooth. How's about some Maggie Moo's for Breakfast?"
Lovely.
We walk out the door and down the street.
About 5 minutes later, I'm ordering strawberry ice cream with oreos,
hot fudge, and strawberry chunks.
We sit outside in the shade of a big ol' tree.
Today couldn't be better.
