December 16, 2009 - Saydee

First time ever babysitting little Miss Saydee June.
She is adorable.
And the best baby in the whole world.
I'll fight anyone that says otherwise.

December 15, 2009 - 2.5 hours

Spent at the Chili's with my Kate.
I don't think I've ever sat in a restaurant for so long.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

December 14, 2009 - Masala

So, I love Indian Food.
Most especially Chicken Tikka Masala.
Today, I had Beef Tikka Masala for the first time.

Thank you, Corbin, for all your wonderful cookings.

December 13, 2009 - Stormtrooped.

At my local Walmart store, there happens to be a post outside where people, ringing bells, collect change for the Salvation Army. Today, the post was overtaken by three Stormtroopers.

I'm not kidding.

Raddest. Day. Ever.

Friday, December 11, 2009

December 12, 2009 - No sleep

Today, I stayed awake for more than 24 hours. 39 to be precise. MAN, I'm tired...
But it was worth it. Thanks, guys.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009

After a Long Haitus...

I'm back doin' new stuff! =]

Today's new thing: I started a DailyBooth account. It's like twitter, but with photos. FUN!

Sunday, July 12, 2009

July 11, 2009 - July Jamboree and Renaissance Faire

Ren Faire = Kinda Boring
July Jamboree = Kinda Boring, too.

There were some good cars at the Jamboree that I hadn't seen before. So, that was a neat little surprise. There were also cars that I've seen since I was about 10 years old, including Ray and Debbie Campbell's, John Feustel's, and Russ Samuels'! Interesting that they drove all the way to Cedar for a carshow.

Saturday, July 11, 2009

July 10, 2009 - Bradford

Dinner at Denny's with Bradford Garrison, my kindred spirit.

I recently became friends with him, and he is one of my most favourite people in this planet. I managed quite well before he came along, but I don't ever want manage without him now that I've met him!

Thursday, July 9, 2009

July 9, 2009 - Interviews

Never been turned down for a job that I had 2 interviews for.
That really bites.
Operation Job Search 2009 continues...

Wednesday, July 8, 2009

July 8, 2009 - 123456789

Yes, today it was exactly 123456789.
12:34:56am on 07/08/09.
This only occurs once every 100 years.
Delightful.

July 7, 2009 - Trainspotting

And piling into a bed with Joe, Bradford, and Adan.
"Hey Bwadfowd.... can I bowwow yo cwayons?"

Tuesday, July 7, 2009

July 6, 2009 - Ellesse doesn't really smell...

I found this out for myself on a trip with her from Lehi to Cedar.
She's actually quite lovely. =]

Great things are happening in Parowan. Including how I got the blood on my windshield.

Sunday, July 5, 2009

July 5, 2009 - Taylor and Poker

I'm teaching my niece Taylor to play poker.
And we will have a great time.

July 4, 2009 - Logan Lorin

Cache Valley Cruise In.
First time seeing Lorin in his Logan Habitat.
No pictures to follow, because my brother is holding my camera hostage for $9.
Punk.

July 3, 2009 - Mustache Party

For Kate's 21 birthday.
I drew a mustache on with liquid eyeliner.
Pictures to follow.

July 2, 2009 - Calcium Dust

I fed my lizard with calcium dust today.
I put a bunch of crickets in a bag and shook them up.
Like Shake-n-Bake.
Yum.

July 1, 2009 - 8 hour day

First 8 hour day at my custodial job. Bleh.

June 30, 2009 - Soul Coughing

First time I've discovered this new band!
I like this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YhY4kEMBOk

Real good stuff.

Monday, June 29, 2009

June 29, 2009 - Lizard Tears

I shed some tears today over the death of my lizard, Tarkin.
However, I shed more tears (of joy) when I realized he was not dying, but shedding his skin. He is incredibly healthy.

I've never cried over a pet before, as I've never had a pet to cry over.

Pictures of his new bright coloring to come!

June 28, 2009 - Dinner with Doris

Strawberry Rhubarb pie is best when shared with a lovely roommate and a dear old lady named Doris.

June 27, 2009 - Veg Pledge

Katy and I have both pledged to be Vegetarian for 30 days.
This will be interesting, as I truly love me some bacon.

June 26, 2009 - LOVE

That's right.
I drove to Vegas and saw Beatles Love.
Cirque is phenomenal.
I will be going back ASAP.

Pictures to come.

Thursday, June 25, 2009

June 25, 2009 - Mononucleosis?

I had my very first mono test today.
Good news: I don't have it.
Bad news: We're still not sure what's making me so sleepy.
Other than the anemia, probably.

June 24, 2009 - Fooly Cooly

Two words describe this show: CRACKED OUT.
I really enjoyed it, though.

Thanks, Joe, for introducing me to "Fooly Cooly" and letting me experience a few hours of a non-crack induced acid-like trip.

CRAZY.

June 23, 2009 - Karaoke Bar

First time in a Karaoke Bar.
NOT!

First time I ever attempted to go to a karaoke bar, but then found that karaoke was canceled due to a pool tournament.

First time I ever DIDN'T go to a karaoke bar and stayed at home watching The O.C. and eating tacos instead.

Yum, tacos.

It WAS, however, the first time I've ever eaten homemade tacos on Taco Tuesday.

June 22, 2009 - Beer Pong

First time I've ever witnessed a game of Beer Pong being played.
I'm still not sure I fully understand the rules.
That may or may not be because everyone explaining them to me was totally wasted.
Love you, Amber.

June 21, 2009 - Ditched

First time in my life I've ever gotten completely ready for church, and then ended up not going.

Bad day.

Sunday, June 21, 2009

June 20, 2009 - 3b's

Great food, great company, all for free!
What else can a girl ask for?!

I got an Oriental Chicken Salad Wrap.
PERFECT.

I will be eating there all the day.

June 19, 2009 - Off The Cuff

A three hour show. A three hour show.
(Like Gilligan, get it?)

I may or may not have watched a three hour Off the Cuff show before, but this was their last show at The Grind.

So, it was my first time watching their last show.

Just pretend like that counts...

June 18, 2009 - Haircut

I've gotten haircuts before.
Never by Hollie.
She's great.

I'm getting hair inspired by Angelina Jolie in the Changeling.
In two weeks, I will be perming it.
Haven't done THAT since the 90s...

Wednesday, June 17, 2009

June 17, 2009 - Doris

I helped a delighful old lady clean her house today.
Her name is Doris.
She's 82.
And still a bachelorette.
Never been married.
And she quite possibly has the cutest grandma house I've ever encountered.
Ah, Doris. I look forward to next Wednesday.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

June 16, 2009 - Changeling

Abolsultely terrifying movie, but I enjoyed it. As much as one can enjoy something terrifying.
A son goes missing, and a mother's vendetta against a corrupt police force.
Who knew Angelina Jolie could act?
Plus, it's set in the 1920s, the costumes and hair are beautiful.

Monday, June 15, 2009

June 15, 2009 - Happy-Go-Lucky

A delightful little British film.
I want to be more like Poppy.
It IS Rated R for language, but if a good few F-words don't bother you, I highly suggest it.

Sunday, June 14, 2009

June 13, 2009 - The Pirate

The great MGM musical romance.
Judy Garland, Gene Kelley... can't go wrong, right?
You'd be surprised.
Let's just say there's an intriguing dream sequence involving some ridiculously short shorts, and Gene Kelley's amazingly hairless legs...

June 13, 2009 - Boxing

Utah Summer games had BOXING MATCHES!
Now, to be fair, my friends in high school used to box each other for fun, and I would watch that, but I've never witnessed ACTUAL boxers before.
This was some legit stuff, with people bleeding, and I think one guy even lost a tooth! It was insane. Also, SUU's head football coach boxed, and holy MACKEREL that guy is a beast. He pummelled the crap out of some poor chubby guy, it was insane.

June 12, 2009 - Tires

Let me tell you a little story:
One bright and sunny June day, Joe Spear and I were driving to St. George to donate plasma. On the way, my tire BLEW UP. Luckily we did not die, and luckily Joe was there to change my tire. Not that I can't, I just didn't want to. =]
$130.00 later, I have two new tires on my car. The end.

Thursday, June 11, 2009

June 11, 2009 - Lost Keys

That's right.
LOST.
I've never lost a pair of keys before.
Misplaced, yes.
Locked in my car, yes.
But LOST?
As in never to return?
That's a first.

Also, I'm going to miss my rad guitar keychain...

June 10, 2009 - All Nighter

Well, as close as I've ever gotten, anyway.
5:30 am
Watching Phantom and philosophizing with Phil.

June 9, 2009 - Deleted

By one of my best friends.
Yes, it was via facebook, which is quite possibly the most passive-aggressive thing known to mankind.
But it still stung a bit.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009

June 8, 2009 - Birthday?

First time I've forgotten to call my brother Skyler on his birthday.
Happy 29th, Sky.
I'll be calling you in the morning.
=[

June 7, 2009 - Antoinette Perry Awards

That's right.
Today I watched the Tony's for the first time that I can remember, without my dad constantly interrupting and changing the channel.

What a milestone day this is.

The above pictured musical, "Billy Elliot," kicked TRASH this year. Seriously, they took home 10 of 15 nominations. Incredible.

June 6, 2009 - Defensive Driving Course

In St. George.
Met a crazy old British Lady.
Who had smoked pot.
Whilst driving.

What a crazy world this is.

Friday, June 5, 2009

June 5, 2009 - Haircut

I got bored with my hair.
So I took a pair of scizzors to my bangs.
And razored the crap out of my whole head.
I look real rocker chic.
Photo later.

June 4, 2009 - Homework?

Now, I realize I've done homework before.
And I've submitted homework online for online classes before.
AND I've done summer classes before.
But a magical combination of all three?
THAT, I've yet to accomplish.
Until today.

Okay, okay, so I had a hard time finding something new I did today.
I blame this book:

It's keeping me trapped on my couch under my red down comforter, with a glass of chocolate milk. Thus preventing me from accomplishing anything new.

Thursday, June 4, 2009

June 3, 2009 - Here Come the Newlyweds

It's a T.V. Show.
I know a couple on it.
That's never happened to me before.
Watch it on ABC Mondays at 9:00pm and cheer for Jed and Sarin Hinkins.
They're real cute!

Or watch episodes here: http://abc.go.com/player/index?pn=index&showId=210322

Wednesday, June 3, 2009

June 2, 2009 - Back to the Future

MARATHONNED ALL THREE MOVIES IN ONE NIGHT.
Man, the first one is so much better than the other two.

Also, Matt and I paused the movie at this exact frame, and had a great laugh for about 10 minutes. BEST EVER.

June 1, 2009 - Modeling

But I brought Casey with me this time.
I think he got bored.

Here are some photos:

May 31, 2009 - Readathon

With Casey.
In Cedar.
On campus.
By the Adams.
After church.
LOVELY.

May 30, 2009 - Three Peaks

Never been there.
Had a fire.
For my birthday party.

IRONY: The most racially diverse group of friends I have is also the most racist.

May 29, 2009 - 21

Yup.
Turned 21.
Never done THAT before.
Now to find a good karaoke bar...

Thursday, May 28, 2009

May 28, 2009 - Uglies

Started reading a new book.
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.
Not what I expected.
I love it.

May 27, 2009 - Fugitive

Played for the first time EVER.
I was a fugitive.
No one really knew we were playing.
Kind of pointless.
Good Exercize.
Mitch is a Powerwalking Champion.

Tuesday, May 26, 2009

May 26, 2009 - Coconutty

Hey, it's me with a coconut!
Being primitive and trying to break it with my own two hands.
Draining the milk into a cup.
Straining the milk through one of my new no-show socks.
Don't worry, it hadn't been on my foot yet.
YAY! Coconutting is fun. Never done THAT before.

May 25, 2009 - Lifestyle Change

Not a diet.
A change in lifestyle.
I'll be exercising and eating healthier.
For good.

Monday, May 25, 2009

May 24, 2009 - Medusa

Medusa is a trampoline game that I invented as a child.
Medusa consists of a deadly beach ball that, if it touches you will turn you into either stone, or a snakelike monster, your choice.
Medusa is fun to play with nieces and nephews.
First time we've ever done that.

Sunday, May 24, 2009

May 23, 2009 - Eric Geels

Saw him for the first time in 2 years.
He served an LDS mission in Moscow, Russia.

Saturday, May 23, 2009

May 22, 2009 - Drove to Lehi with Zac Trotter

2nd Road Trip with The Trotter.
First was for Les Miserables.
This time to LEHI from CEDAR.
Instead of the other way around.

May 21, 2009 - Watched Lorin at Off the Cuff

He played with OTC today for the first time.
And did phenomenally.
Well, except for that Apollo 13 Joke.
That was a miserable failure.

May 20, 2009 - Killed 50 Crickets at One Time

Seriously.
Bought a bag of them to feed to Tarkin.
Left it in my car.
They all roasted.
Cricket Genocide.

Wednesday, May 20, 2009

May 19, 2009 - Eastern Utah

Orangeville.
Jasha's wedding.
Three hours east of Cedar City.
Furthest East in Utah I've ever been.
Well, not really, there was that time we drove to Illinois.
Furthest East Destination in Utah.

Pictures later...

Monday, May 18, 2009

May 18, 2009 - Donated Plasma

Yup. Woke up at 6:00am to be in St. George by 7:00am. Yuck.
Really cool, though. Definitely worth it.
Follow this link for more information!
http://www.biolifeplasma.com/index.html

May 17, 2009 - Basketball

Well, my new thing for today was SUPPOSED to be cheering for the Lakers, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. What can I say, I hate those guys.

So, instead, I'm going to count watching two playoff games in one day. Never done THAT before.

Too bad both of my teams lost.

Sunday, May 17, 2009

May 16, 2009 - Creepy Carnies

Carnival.
Been before.
Rode Rides this time.
Wish I hadn't.
Freak me out.
Got a "Carn Dog"
It was yummy.
Jabbed myself in the back of the throat with the pointy stick.
Yikes.

May 15, 2009 - Getaway Car for a Jewel Thief

Katy, my roommate, was working for her brother at Clark and Linford Jewelers.
A perk to working for a jewelry store is that they expect you to wear their jewelry, for marketing purposes.

Katy and I went to lunch at around 2:00, and I drove us to Costa Vida. As we were in line waiting to order, I look at Katy and notice that she's still wearing the necklace and earrings from the jewelers.

Yes, she stole them, and yes I was the getaway car.
=]

Thursday, May 14, 2009

May 14, 2009 - Modeling for Del Parson

You know, Del Parson, the guy who painted this:

Well, he drew me today.
See?

May 13, 2009 - Wikipedia

Subscribed to Wikipedia’s “Featured Article” list.

Every day, Wikipedia posts an article selected from its vast repository of entries to it’s Daily-article-l subscribers. If you were a subscriber today, you would have recently discovered that Daylight Saving Time was first proposed by William Willett in 1907 and adopted during World War I as a way to conserve coal. You might have also been interested to find out that Kazakhstan discontinued Daylight Saving Time in 2005 because of alleged health risks associated with changed sleep patterns.

Fascinating.

May 12, 2009 - 24 hours with The Hanch

Came to see my new place.
What's Eating Gilbert Grape.
"Geez, I know that Gilbert."
Jonah.
"Why, that's enough to get a smile from Mr. Grumpy-Pants!"
The Rundown.
Bedtime, that couch hates me.
10:00am Bible Reading.
Fell asleep from all the "begats."
Smiths and apple cinnamon cheerios.
Taken.
Tortellini and Religion.
Back to work again.

May 11, 2009 - Icecream for Breakfast

Today, I wake up at around 10:00am.
I stumble out my bedroom door into the hallway, hair a mess a clothes askew.
"Hey tooth. How's about some Maggie Moo's for Breakfast?"
Lovely.
We walk out the door and down the street.
About 5 minutes later, I'm ordering strawberry ice cream with oreos,
hot fudge, and strawberry chunks.
We sit outside in the shade of a big ol' tree.
Today couldn't be better.
